Sanseveria or Snake plants comes in many different varieties. The most common one Sansevieria Trifasciata.
According to the care instructions, Sansevieria or Snake plants enjoys low lights, and droughts which means that water when the soil is dry. Well, obviously we have to water the plant when the soil is dry lol’z. Like most of the houseplants, snake plant grows slowly so we don’t need to prune it.
Additional information I got from my research online that snake plants are able to help keep the air clean inside our home, remove toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. These chemicals are very toxic and are very harmful to us. Snake plants are included in NASA’s list of “Nature’s Life Support System”, the good plants to put inside the house especially in the bedroom because it will emit Oxygen in the evening time according to the study.
By the way, there’s another names of this plant, called Mother-in-law’s Tongue and Bowstring Hemp. Sanseveria is one of my favorite plant and mostly they are in my bedroom and my children’s bedroom. Snake plants is one of the most tolerant plant of all decorative plants because they will survive even in a very dark place in your house.
