Hey yeah!!! It’s been a while no post and no updates to my site. Well, here comes my latest post, it is about my Philodendron Micans. This is my 2 year old Philodendron Micans. I bought this plant in Walmart. This plant was not in good shape, I mean this was dying. They almost threw this in the garbage, luckily I was in the store, I took it and pay for it. I remember the lady asked me, “are you sure you really want to buy this plant, this is dying?” I said to her, “yes”. This is what she looks like now. By the way, I made several cuttings of it already and sold.
Philodendron Micans is a velvety and a heart-shaped leaves. Who will not like this lovely plants? I’m sure everybody loves to have this plant. Everybody said, it is easy to take care, well for me I can say yes and maybe not. My first cuttings were all rotted and died, then I made a second attempt and becomes successful. I am still learning in propagating this plant.
You can hang this plant or train them to grow up on a moss pole, either or this plant will look beautiful. Philodendron Micans have other name like Velvet Leaf Philodendron. By the way, this plant has also a botanical name called Philodendron hederaceum var. hederacium, hahaha it is quite a name. I like this plant to be called as Philo Micans, it is short and sweet!
One thing I want to say, never let the soil dry in other words, keep it moist!!!
Nice post!
I just got this plant. I hope mine will get that big as yours is! 😊
Next year for sure your Micans will grow. Spring and Summer my Micans grow faster. Thanks for stopping by.
